This version of the software runs under both Java 1.02 and Java 1.1.

Create a new directory on your computer, and unpack the zip into the new directory. Use a zip utility that supports long, case sensitive file names. Be sure that you select the option to "use folder names" or its equivalent when you unpack in order to create the proper directory tree needed to run the demo's.

Please read the "readme.txt" file included with the software for further instructions.

Included in the download:

• The GIFCanvas package.
• GCTest, a standalone Java application (with source) that permits previewing any GIF89a/GIF87a file using the GIFCanvas package from a console window.
• The demo applets used at the GIFCanvas homepage, with source and html launch pages.
• Javadoc API documentation.
• 10 sample GIF's, including two ad banners from Alchemy Mindworks, Inc.
• readme.txt, quick start instructions.
